Somebody once said this to me...
April is like a biscuit, now you see her...now you don't.

So yeah I went to China....and came back.

Nothin' much, same ol' stone dragon carvings, temples and more temples, jumped into the Lake of spring-blossom-lotus-flower-fortune, met Premier Wen Jiabao...yada-yada-yada...
....pranced around the Forbidden City and didn't do all that much really. ho-hum.
Okay fine, so I didn't go to China...
...unless of course, you believe that the Qin dynasty invented Semi-D houses and pangsapuri during imperial China. (and they drove MyVi's too!)
Anyway, I went to Kuching really.

And found out that the kucings in Kuching, aren't what I expected them to be.
Although there was quite a variety of felines, to name a few...
There was gargoyle Kucing. Its a sad story about how the cats turned into stone, mostly due to kitty misdemeanor. Occasionally...I tell the story to my cat whenever he attempts to jump onto the dining table and runaway with my breakfast.... Just to scare him :)
Then I met politicized kucing, who's heavily biased towards a particular political party.
I wonder how much they had to pay kitty.
And then...there's indecent kucing.
And also...kucing kesian.
Which then I came to the conclusion that kucings in Kuching are a bit sad.
Anyway, although the cats may be a bit unattractive, atleast there's kolo mee.
(yeah noodles & cats, not exactly related, but tak perr)
Although Kuching may not have big shopping malls and just about everything else I hate about KL, they have Kolo mee!
Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee! Kolo mee!
*chants incessantly*
Sincerely, it is God's greatest gift...to Kuching.
So....u n me kolo mee rendezvous?
Darn, now all this city girl can do is sit behind her desk everyday, (and releases her insatiable cravings by sadistically throwing stationary at her office mates - see blog post below)...while she reminiscences about a bowl of kolo mee.
Damn. What I would give for a bowl of kolo mee?

I could immortalise kolo mee in a poem.
Anyway, moving on from Kolo mee (before you call me crazy), the thing I love about Kuching is that the beach is just an accessible 45-minute drive away.
Its completely divine to dip your feet in the water and let the waves crash against your feet, beach therapy...is something we KL folk can only dream of.

I've always been drawn toward the sea, the beach..the waves. Its something to do with how its so powerful, and how each and every wave has so much character in it...and you, a photographer standing by the beach..has absolutely zero control over how the waves are gonna come crashing.
So uncontrollable, yet so amazing.

Sometimes, the cure for a crappy day or just about anything, is salt water.

It gives you some hope, that even though life's a bitch sometimes, just think of it as...
life's a beach.

Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone
